Richardson Endorses Obama

Bill Richardson's endorsement of Obama, takes a prized super-delegate and former competitor off the table, as a potential ally for Clinton. It also introduces a potential political connection between Hispanics and Blacks. Why did this happen? One reason, Richardson points out, is that Obama has taken on the "race" issue headon. Another might be that Obama's analysis of race resonates for Hispanics. Could Hispanics' experience of race in America be similar to Blacks? Richardson thinks so. Question, are Blacks and Hispanics wholely responsible for the animus directed at them, by the larger society? Or could perhaps some portion of the anger directed at Whites be due to their attitudes and behavior recently, and historically?

MSNBC Talking Heads Talk Race

Chris Matthews (MSNBC, Hardball) addresses race in America, from the point of view of his life experience. Joe Scarborough has his moment to react. It's extremely interesting to see that the American media is as clueless on some issues as the rest of America. Therefore it should be increasing clear to all of good intention that an openness to dialogue must follow. As well as the discourse.

What Do You Think?

Race is on the table now. Obama didn't introduce it. In fact he has avoided it. Now he has put it on the table and addressed it directly.

What will be America's response?
